Karate and Fitness PE Session

Carleton Rode children were treated to a special PE session by Traditional Karate and Fitness. Danny the instructor put the children through their paces teaching them some of the disciplines needed to take part in Karate.

Although some of the children are now Karate Warriors they have made a promise not to do Karate at home or at school. So if you wish for them to demonstrate their skills, you can take them to one of the free taste sessions being offered.

Please see leaflet for more information.

Sports Day

Well done to all the children involved in Sports Day. Thankfully the rain stayed away and we were even treated to a little sun. It was so lovely to see so many parents enjoying their children’s’ efforts.

Active Morning

Carleton Rode enjoyed an active morning being put through their paces by Paralympic athlete Sean Rose. Sean told the children able some of his ‘bumps along the road’ and how he overcame them. We all left feeling very inspired.

Netball Competition

South Norfolk school games netball competition at UEA – 25th March 2014. Despite losing their first game of the day by 6-1 the team developed strength by strength, showed good character and a positive attitude. They went on to win all their remaining games, progressing to the finals where they then played the eventual tournament winners and unfortunately lost. However, the team finished in a very respectable 3rd place overall out of 9 teams and made themselves proud with the way they improved their skills and tactics throughout the day. Well done to the team and thank you coach Lucy for your hard work coaching and developing their skills at the school netball club.
